Solutions to improve the teaching of phonetics for first-year high-quality students at the National Economics University

Abstract

Teaching foreign languages in general and English in particular in Vietnam has traditionally focused on only four skills including listening, speaking, reading and writing. This tradditional learning approach has not yet focused on pronunciation skills. This paper proposes some solutions and necessary references to help lecturers improve their teaching of phonetics in order to meet the needs of learners and catch up with the general teaching trend.
