Factors affecting the work motivation of employees at the Sales Department of VNPT - Dong Thap province

Abstract

Work motivation is one of the factors that greatly impact the work performance, affect the attraction and retention of high-skilled workers. This study is to find out the factors affecting the work motivation of employees at the Sales Department of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) in Dong Thap province. This study is expected to help VNPT - Dong Thap province’s managers have appropriate solutions to improve the employee engagement and the employee performance in order to achieve the company’s goals. The study finds out that there are 6 factors affecting the wokr motivation of the Sales Department of VNPT - Dong Thap province. These factors listed in descending order of impact level include: (1) “Salaries and allowances”, (2) “Training and promotion”, (3) “Superiors and supervisors”, (4) “Performance evaluation”, (5) “Working conditions”, and (6) " Colleagues".
