Impact of digitalization and automation on port operational efficiency: A case study of Tan Cang 128 Joint Stock Company in Hai Phong

Abstract

This study analyses the impact of digitalization and automation on port operational efficiency at Tan Cang 128 Joint Stock Company in Hai Phong. In the context of Industry 4.0, the development of smart port models has become essential to enhance competitiveness. Using a linear regression model, the study identifies key factors affecting port efficiency. The results indicate that human resource quality has the strongest impact, followed by the level of digitalization, system integration, and automation. These findings highlight the central role of human resources in effectively utilizing modern technologies and underscore the importance of digital transformation in optimizing port operations.
