The relationship between green human resource management, green leadership, and employee performance in SMEs in Ho Chi Minh City

Abstract

This study examines the impact of green human resource management (GHRM) on employee performance and investigates the mediating role of green leadership in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam. Data were collected from SME employees and analyzed using PLS-SEM via SmartPLS software. The findings indicate that GHRM positively affects both green leadership and employee performance. Additionally, green leadership has a positive effect on performance and serves as a mediator in the relationship between GHRM and employee performance. The study contributes to the theoretical development of GHRM in the SME context in Vietnam and provides managerial implications for promoting sustainable business development.
