Learner experience management in project-based learning in high school technology education: An empirical study

Abstract

This study applies the Learner Experience (LX) framework to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of project-based learning (PBL) management in Technology education at the high school level. A survey of 120 students participating in the project “Designing My Dream House” at Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted shows a positive learning experience, with an average learner experience score (LES) of 4.12/5 (SD = 0.54). Teacher support and the usability of digital learning systems significantly enhance learner engagement. Moreover, positive learning experiences are strongly associated with students’ intention to continue learning and pursue technical career pathways. Based on these findings, the study proposes managerial implications to improve learner experience quality in project-based Technology education.
