Advancing Vietnam’s social security policies for sustainable development

Social security policy has consistently been a central priority of the Vietnamese Party and State, serving as a cornerstone for advancing social justice and ensuring economic and political stability. In recent years, notable progress has been achieved in the development of the social security system, the quality and accessibility of social services, and the implementation of policies for individuals who have rendered meritorious service to the nation. This study reviews these advancements and assesses the current performance of Vietnam’s social security framework in the context of evolving development demands. The findings underscore the continuing importance of strengthening social security policies to align with national sustainable development goals and to support inclusive and resilient growth in the coming period.
