Improving the hospital information system at Vietsovpetro Medical Center using Importance - Performance Analysis

Abstract

This study identifies priority areas for improving the Health Information System (HIS) at Vietsovpetro Medical Center using Importance - Performance Analysis (IPA). A structured questionnaire covering four core HIS components was administered to 173 healthcare staff currently using the system. The findings indicate that several dimensions, including system quality, information quality, support service quality, and system trust, are perceived as highly important yet underperforming, thereby requiring immediate attention. In contrast, leadership support is evaluated positively in both importance and performance. Based on these results, the study proposes targeted improvement directions to enhance HIS operational efficiency, contributing to the advancement of healthcare digital transformation at Vietsovpetro Medical Center.
