Factors Influencing University Lecturers' Knowledge-Sharing Intention: The Case of Universities in Ho Chi Minh City
Published: October 16, 2026
Abstract
This study identifies the factors influencing the knowledge-sharing intention of lecturers at universities in Ho Chi Minh City. Based on survey data from 357 lecturers, the results indicate that six factors affect knowledge-sharing intention: organizational culture, trust, information technology, leadership support, interaction, and the reward system. Among these, leadership support and peer interaction were rated higher than the remaining factors, while trust received the lowest rating. On this basis, the study proposes managerial implications to promote knowledge sharing, such as building a collaborative culture, organizing professional exchange forums, investing in technological infrastructure, and improving reward policies. The findings aim to support higher education administrators in creating an environment conducive to knowledge sharing, thereby enhancing training quality and the research capacity of the academic staff.
