Application of information technology in digitizing criminal case files at the People’s Procuracy of Region 3 - Lam Dong

This study analyzes the requirements, current situation, and solutions for applying information technology to digitize criminal case files at the People’s Procuracy of Region 3 - Lam Dong. Digitization is not merely scanning documents but involves restructuring procedural data into a searchable, secure, and functional system supporting prosecutorial activities. Initial results show that in the first three months of 2026, the unit digitized 30 out of 35 prosecution files (85.7%), exceeding the sector’s target. The study proposes three groups of solutions: standardizing an eight-step digitization process, establishing centralized digitization stations, and forming a core IT team. These solutions provide practical references for broader implementation.
