Abstract
This study examines the relationship between green human resource management and environmentally friendly behavior in Vietnamese hotels. Survey data from 318 employees were analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM). The findings show that green HRM practices, including green training, green employee involvement, green performance management, and green disciplinary management, significantly promote environmentally friendly employee behavior. The results further demonstrate that environmentally friendly behavior plays an important role in improving hotels’ environmental performance. In particular, the study highlights green disciplinary management as an underexplored factor that indirectly contributes to environmentally responsible behavior. The findings provide practical implications for hotel managers seeking to integrate environmental objectives into human resource management and strengthen employees’ participation in sustainability initiatives.
