Abstract
This study analyzes the current warehouse layout and operational processes at the central warehouse of K&G Vietnam Investment Joint Stock Company. Field observations reveal several limitations, including a low space utilization rate of 45%, overlapping forklift and order-picking flows, and narrow 1.5-meter aisles that reduce productivity. Based on Systematic Layout Planning and warehouse management technologies, the study proposes three major improvements: redesigning the layout with a two-level mezzanine racking system to separate functional flows, applying radio-frequency identification technology to replace manual counting, and developing an adaptable workforce. The proposed improvements are expected to increase handling productivity, optimize storage capacity, reduce operational errors, and improve overall warehouse performance. The findings provide practical implications for modernizing warehouse operations in fashion and consumer-goods supply chains.
