Competitive advantages of Vietnamese software enterprises during the national digital transformation toward 2030, with a vision to 2045

Abstract
This study examines the competitive advantages of Vietnamese software enterprises in the context of implementing the National Digital Transformation Program toward 2030 and Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of 2024, with a vision to 2045. Based on synthesis, comparative analysis, and descriptive statistical analysis of reports from VINASA, the Ministry of Information and Communications, CSIRO, Statista, and international organizations, the paper identifies four core groups of competitive advantages: an abundant information technology workforce with competitive labor costs; increasingly advanced technological and innovation capabilities; a supportive state policy ecosystem; and a strategic position in the global software supply chain. The study also identifies existing limitations and proposes solutions to consolidate and develop sustainable competitive advantages for Vietnam’s software industry toward 2030, with a vision to 2045.
