Factors affecting the reputation of leadership credibility

Abstract

This study investigates the factors influencing leadership credibility using a quantitative approach based on a sample of 250 respondents drawn from three key industry sectors: services, manufacturing, and education. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire employing a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using Cronbach’s Alpha and linear regression techniques. The findings indicate that all examined factors exert a positive influence on leadership credibility, with leadership ethics emerging as the most significant predictor (β = 0.34), followed by communication skills (β = 0.28), fairness (β = 0.25), professional competence (β = 0.22), leadership psychology (β = 0.21), and decision-making ability (β = 0.16). These results underscore the relative importance of ethical conduct, effective communication, and equitable practices in shaping credible leadership.
