Economic impacts of digital transformation on media organizations in Vietnam

Abstract
Digital transformation is reshaping the global journalistic landscape, influencing newsroom structures, content production processes, audience engagement strategies, and revenue models. In Vietnam, this transformation is closely associated with technological innovation and plays a critical role in enhancing the competitiveness, financial autonomy, and long-term sustainability of media organizations. This study examines the economic effectiveness of digital transformation, evaluates its current implementation in Vietnamese media institutions, and identifies the underlying factors shaping its outcomes. Based on this analysis, the paper proposes strategic solutions to enhance the economic efficiency and sustainability of digital transformation in Vietnam’s media sector.
