Abstract
This study examines the factors influencing sustainable tourism development in the Dong Van Karst Plateau using a qualitative approach grounded in secondary data analysis and case studies. The findings identify key determinants, including environmental conditions, socio-cultural dynamics, governance quality, infrastructure development, and the role of digital transformation. The analysis further reveals inherent trade-offs between tourism expansion and the preservation of natural and cultural resources. By elucidating these dynamics, the study contributes to a more comprehensive understanding of the complexities shaping sustainable tourism development in fragile heritage landscapes.
