Regular research models on public acceptance of wind power development

Abstract
In the context of the global energy transition and the imperative to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, wind power has emerged as a pivotal renewable energy source. This study synthesizes and critically analyzes prominent research models worldwide to elucidate public attitudes and behavioral responses toward wind power projects. The findings indicate that key determinants include perceived benefits and risks, trust in principal stakeholders, and broader socio-psychological factors. Moreover, contextual, institutional, and cultural conditions significantly mediate the influence of these determinants. Overall, the study highlights the centrality of social dimensions in shaping public acceptance, underscoring their importance alongside technical and economic considerations in advancing the sustainable development of wind energy.
