Published: August 4, 2026
Abstract
This study examines the theoretical foundations of digital transformation and innovation capacity, and evaluates the current state of innovation among Vietnamese enterprises in the context of the digital economy. The findings indicate that Vietnam’s innovation ecosystem has undergone notable improvements in recent years. Nevertheless, structural challenges persist, including low levels of investment in research and development (R&D), limited participation of firms in innovation activities, and uneven progress in digital transformation across sectors. Overall, the study provides a comprehensive assessment of the opportunities and constraints shaping enterprise innovation capacity and highlights the key dynamics influencing competitiveness in Vietnam’s evolving digital landscape.
