Solutions to Enhance Domestic Tourists’ Green Tourism Intention in Adapting to Climate Change at Northern Destinations

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing domestic tourists’ green tourism intention toward destinations in Northern Vietnam, thereby proposing appropriate solutions to promote environmentally friendly tourism behavior and enhance adaptation to climate change. The research data were collected through a survey of domestic tourists and analyzed using quantitative methods with SPSS 26. The results indicate that six factors significantly influence green tourism intention, including subjective norms, tourists’ attitudes, perceived behavioral control, destination image, green destination experience, and environmental communication. Based on these empirical findings, the study proposes several solutions to support Northern destinations in developing tourism in a green and sustainable direction.
