Knowledge management and technological innovation: Evidence from technology-oriented manufacturing enterprises

Abstract

Amid accelerating digital transformation and intensifying technological competition, technological innovation has emerged as a critical driver of growth for manufacturing enterprises. This study examines the impact of knowledge management on technological innovation in technology-oriented manufacturing firms in Vietnam. Data were collected from 220 respondents through both in-person and online surveys conducted between June and August 2025. Empirical analyses, including Cronbach’s Alpha, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), and regression modeling, indicate that knowledge acquisition, knowledge sharing, and knowledge application all exert positive effects on technological innovation, with knowledge application identified as the most influential factor. The findings provide robust empirical evidence on the role of knowledge management practices in enhancing firms’ innovation capacity within a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
