Scientific and technological innovation at Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City

Abstract

Scientific and technological innovation has garnered increasing attention from researchers, administrators, and policymakers due to its pivotal role in fostering sustainable competitive advantage. This study examines the theoretical foundations of key determinants influencing such innovation, including firm growth in scale and revenue, financial performance, strategic partnerships (e.g., licensing and R&D outsourcing), government support mechanisms, and the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights. By synthesizing these factors, the study provides a comprehensive framework for understanding the drivers of scientific and technological innovation.
