Promoting the democratic govenance in Can Tho City - A solution for the city’s economic development in the context of digital transformation

Promoting the democratic govenance is an important solution for the successful implementation of the socio-economic development strategy. State intervention is to ensure social progress and justice but it can affect the economic development. This paper is to present the local governance, the democratic govenance, legal provisions on the democracy in local governance, and practical implementation of democracy in local governance in Can Tho City. Based on the paper’s findings, some solutions are proposed to promote the democratic govenance in Can Tho City in the coming time.
