Factors affecting the decision of people to use the metro service in Vietnam

Abstract

This study uses the Exploratory Factor Analysis method to assess the factors affecting the metro service in Vietnam from January 2022 to March 2022. The study’s regression analysis show that the regression coefficient of five factors, including: response, safety, reliability, perceived cost when using the metro service, tangible means, and empathy affects the decision of people to use the metro service in Vietnam with the statistical significance level at 1%, and the regression coefficient of these five factors is consistent with the impact correlation. Among these five factors, the factor of empathy (b = 0.316) has the greatest influence on the decision to use the metro service. Meanwhile, the factors of safety and reliability (b = 0.222) has a certain influence, and the factor of perceived cost (b = 0.-159) has the lowest impact on the dependent variable.
