A study on the relationships among the workplace joy, the psychological capacity, and the employee engagement at enterprises in the steel industry in Ho Chi Minh City

Abstract

This study determines the factors of workplace joy affecting the psychological capacity and the engagement of employees, measures and tests the relationships among the workplace joy, the psychological capacity, and the employee engagement at enterprises in the steel industry in Ho Chi Minh City. Based on the study’s results, some implications are proposed to help managers of enterprises in the steel industry increase the psychological capacity and the engagement of their employees, especially increasing the employee’s optimism, hope, resilience, work efficiency, and happiness in the workplace.
