Analyzing the young customer’s usage of the online delivery service in Vietnam
Published: July 31, 2026
Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has fueled the development of online food delivery in Vietnam. However, researches on the online delivery service in Vietnam are quite poor and they are mainly conducted in terms of statistics. To explore this new trend, this study uses the TAM model (Davies, 1986). The study’s results show that there are six factors affecting the young customer’s usage of the online delivery service in Vietnam, including: food quality, convenience, time saving, economic benefits, perceived value, and online service quality. Further studies are proposed to expand the research location and subjects other than university students in Ho Chi Minh City to reach more accurate conclusions. This study also makes some recommendations for food service businesses and third parties to improve their business performance.
