Explaining the intention to save electricity of consumers in Nha Trang by using the theory of planned behavior

Abstract

This study uses the original theory of planned behavior (TPB) model, including attitude, subjective norm and perceived behavioral control factors to explain the intention to save energy of consumers in Nha Trang. The study’s results show that all the proposed research hypotheses are supported by the data with attitude (b = 0.28), subjective norm (b = 0.22) and perceived behavioral control (b = 0.21). This study’s results are expected to create practical and effective policy implications to increase the intention to save electricity of consumers in Nha Trang.
