Published: July 30, 2026
Abstract
Based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), this study explores the factors affecting students' intention to use the MoMo e-wallet, including Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Effort, Perceived Trust, Social Influence, Facilitating Conditions, and Government Support. The study collected data from 1,966 students at 15 universities in Hanoi through questionnaires and analyzed the data using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results show that four factors have a statistically significant impact on students' intention to use the MoMo e-wallet, among which Social Influence has the strongest effect. Based on the findings, the study proposes several recommendations for e-wallet providers and regulatory agencies to encourage greater adoption of e-wallets among students.
