Published: July 30, 2026
Abstract
This study identifies differences in the perceptions of students towards corporate social responsibility (CSR) according to the factors of gender, major, volunteerism, and business ethics education. By using Carroll's CSR pyramid (1991), this study investigates students' perceptions towards four types of responsibilities, including economic, legal, ethical, and philanthropic responsibilities. The study's results show that male and female students have different perspectives towards CSR. Students who participate in volunteering activities and business ethics education pay more attention to CSR. In addition, the field of study does not impact students' perceptions towards CSR.
