The Internet of Things promotes the innovation and creativity of the tourism development in Vietnam

Abstract
In the era of technology 4.0, more and more fields, especially the tourism industry, are applying the Internet of Things (IoT) to operate more efficiently. This paper introduces the basic concept of IoT ecosystem including 4 main components, namely hardware, software/connection, service, and institution/policy. This paper is to outline an overall picture of the development of IoT and its application in the tourism sector in Vietnam. The paper also highlights the main things participating in the IoT network and some initial results on the application of IoT in Vietnam’s tourism sector. Some solutions are proposed in this paper to promote the development and the application of IoT in the tourism sector in Vietnam.
