The impact of university support on students’ entrepreneurial intentions: Encouraging the entrepreneurial spirit among Vietnamese youth

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of university support factors, specifically educational support, idea development support, and business development support, on students' entrepreneurial intentions in Vietnam. Data were collected from 793 students across 13 universities. The analysis reveals significant variations in students' perceptions of entrepreneurial intentions and university support based on demographic characteristics. Among the three support types, only educational support was found to have a positive and statistically significant effect on entrepreneurial intentions. The study also highlights segment-based differences in students' perceptions of university support, offering valuable insights for enhancing university contributions to fostering entrepreneurship.
