Factors influencing high school students' intention to participate in computer-based entrance examinations in Ho Chi Minh City

Abstract

This study investigates the factors influencing high school students' intention to participate in computer-based entrance examinations in Ho Chi Minh City. Data were collected from 350 students and analyzed using Cronbach’s Alpha reliability testing, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), and multiple regression analysis. The findings indicate that innovation and cost reduction, performance expectancy, effort expectancy, brand image, and social influence positively impact students’ behavioral intentions, while perceived risk does not show a statistically significant effect. Based on these results, the study offers several managerial implications, including simplifying the exam interface, effectively communicating exam benefits, enhancing the branding of the testing system, combining technological innovation with cost efficiency, and promoting positive social influence to encourage greater participation.
