Abstract
This study investigates the demand for short-term courses among accounting students at Ho Chi Minh City College of Industry and Trade, aiming to supplement practical knowledge and enhance career competitiveness. Data were collected from 276 current students via a Google Form survey. Findings reveal that 92% of respondents expressed interest in enrolling in at least one short-term course, with chief accountant training, taxation, and CPA certification emerging as the most in-demand topics. Analysis by academic year, financial capacity, time availability, and career goals highlights significant differences across student groups. Based on these insights, the study proposes flexible solutions for curriculum design, delivery methods, instructor selection, tuition pricing, and communication strategies to develop practical, effective, and sustainable short-term training programs within the vocational education context.
