Factors Affecting Students' Participation in Scientific Research at Phan Thiet University

Abstract

This study investigates the factors affecting students' participation in scientific research at Phan Thiet University. The research findings indicate that five key factors influence students' motivation to engage in scientific research. In descending order of influence, these factors are: (1) students' awareness of scientific research; (2) students' research competencies; (3) the faculty's support for scientific research activities; (4) supervisors; and (5) university policies. Based on these findings, the study proposes several recommendations to enhance students' participation in scientific research and improve the effectiveness of research activities at Phan Thiet University.
