Discussing the Concept of Consumer Voice Behavior

Abstract

This study explores the concept of consumer voice behavior by reviewing and synthesizing representative studies on this concept. It identifies six key aspects of consumer voice behavior, including: (1) the name of the behavior; (2) the target recipients of the voice (whom consumers speak to); (3) the content of the voice (what issues are raised); (4) the communication channel (where consumers voice their opinions); (5) the form of expression (how consumers express their opinions); and (6) the motivations or purposes behind speaking up (why consumers voice their opinions). The study is expected to enhance understanding of consumer voice behavior, benefiting both businesses and consumers. It also helps scholars and other interested readers save time and effort when approaching and researching this topic.
