Developing Vietnam’s real estate market sustainably

Abstract
The real estate market in Vietnam in recent years has witnessed a strong growth and it has played an important role in the country’s economic development. However, after a period of formation and development, the real estate market has also revealed inadequacies in terms of market operation mechanism, legal system, market participants, structure of real estate products, transactions, information, management, etc. The market has also faced the pressure of economic development and ensuring the living environment for people. Besides providing strategies and policies to improve people's material living standards, the Government of Vietnam is offering strategies and policies to help the real estate market grow stably and sustainably. This paper points out issues about the development of Vietnam’s real estate market, especially its sustainable development orientation.
