A research model about the last mile delivery and lessons learnt for Vietnam

Abstract

Global e-commerce in general and Vietnam’s e-commerce sector in particular have grown rapidly in recent years and the goods transportation has played an increasing role in the last mile delivery of the e-commerce supply chain. This paper presents an overview on studies about the last mile delivery in terms of two main groups, including the management policy of innovative solutions in the last-mile delivery and the policy of managing employees working in the last-mile delivery field. Based on the paper’s analysis, a research model about the last mile delivery is proposed and some lessons learnt about the last mile delivery for Vietnam are proposed.
