The impact of the job stress on the intention to quit the job of healthcare workers at hospitals through the mediating role of the job attitude: A case study of hospital of district 12, Ho Chi Minh City

Abstract

This study is to explore the relationship between the job stress and the intention to quit the job of healthcare workers at hospitals through the mediating role of the job attitude factor which consists of job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The qualitative research method is used in this study. Ten people are interviewed in-depth and five people are involved through group discussion. The study shows that the job stress positively affects the quit intention through the job. But it negatively associates with the job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Meanwhile, the job satisfaction and the organizational commitment are in inverse ratio to the intention to quit the job. The study also finds out the characteristics of the job stress, job satisfaction, organizational commitment and intention to quit the job.
