Research on the situation of green logistics and digital transformation in Vietnamese logistics enterprises

Abstract

For businesses, the "greening" of the supply chain is considered a part of a green investment strategy in order to effectively use natural and environmentally friendly resources, then improve the competitiveness and performance of businesses. Especially in the current logistics market, the ratio of logistics costs to Vietnam's GDP is 18%, higher than that of developed countries (9-14%). Vietnam's logistics costs are still higher than those of other countries in the region, such as China, Thailand, etc. Therefore, digital transformation is a necessary requirement to cut costs as well as orient businesses to develop sustainably. This study uses a qualitative research method and summarizes previous Vietnamese and foreign studies to prove that the digital transformation has many impacts on the green logistics practices of logistics enterprises. Through proven data, the study is to show the current situation of digital transformation in Vietnamese logistics enterprises and propose some solutions.
