A study on the use of fly ash from Duyen Hai thermal power plant to produce the m200 grade of concrete
Published: July 28, 2026
Abstract
Every year, the amount of fly ash waste from power plants reaches tens of millions of tons, polluting the surrounding environment. Meanwhile, there is an increasing number of construction projects that require high-quality building materials. Fly ash could be used as an environmentally friendly material in concrete production. Using fly ash in concrete reduces cracking, permeability, and bleeding, creating a dense, high-durability concrete. Research has shown that replacing 15% of fly ash for cement in concrete mixtures still ensures the technical requirements of concrete. Additionally, using fly ash in concrete helps protect the environment, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and preserve mineral resources. In particular, fly ash significantly reduces the cost of
concrete mixtures, leading to higher economic efficiency.
