25. Factors Affecting Knowledge Sharing Behavior Among Students: An Experimental Study at Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment

Abstract
Knowledge sharing is one of the three important activities of knowledge management. It does
not only help the organization strengthen its competitive advantage but also help the organization
grow. By analyzing the data from 316 students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural
Resources and Environment, this study explores the prefixes of knowledge sharing behavior,
including: (1) Information technology, (2) Self-knowledge belief, (3) Incentive and reward
mechanism, and (4) Teamwork. The study finds out that these factors all have impacts on the
knowledge sharing behavior of students with different impacting levels. In which, the factor of self
knowledge belief is the most influential factor, followed by the teamwork factor and the reward
mechanisms factor. Based on the study’s analysis, some administrative implications are proposed
to encourage students sharing knowledge.
