20. Developing a Sustainable University Model in Vietnam: Some Suggestions for the Upcoming Time

Abstract
The issue of developing a sustainable university model has been raised since the 1990s. In
recent years, this issue has received more and more attention in the context of environmental
pollution, climate change and exhaustion of natural resources. To develop a sustainable university
model in Vietnam, it is first necessary to study and apply a sustainability assessment system with
specific criteria for Vietnam's conditions, especially the country’s economic efficiency. This paper
points out the developing a sustainable university model in Vietnam and proposes some
suggestions in the upcoming time.
