15. Current Situation and Solution Orientations for Enhancing the Scientific Research of Female University Lecturers: A Case Study at the University of Transport and Communications

The disadvantage of women in doing scientific researches is a problem in Vietnam in particular and in the world in general. Although the proportion of women participating in scientific researches and winning Nobel prizes is increasing, the imbalance between male and female researchers is still significant. Therefore, to encourage female lecturers in universities doing scientific researches, this study analyzes the current scientific research activities of female lecturers, and explores the factors affecting the scientific research achievements of female lecturers. Based on the study’s findings and the management perspectives, some solutions are proposed to improve the scientific research achievements of female lecturers. This study conducts a pilot research at the University of Transport and Communications with 200 samples of the university’s femal lecturers.
