Measuring the Perceived Happiness of University Students

Abstract

This study surveyed the happiness level of university students through the Gross National Happiness (GNH) tool. In this study, GNH’s criteria, including physical health, mental health, time use, education, ecological diversity, culture, governance, and living standards, were used to assess the well-being of students. The results revealed that factors such as community, mental health, environment, education, learning, and administration are highly appreciated by students. Meanwhile, time use and culture are the two factors rated lowest by students.
