Factors Affecting the Labor Productivity of Lecturers at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy

Abstract
This study identified the factors affecting the labor productivity of lecturers at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy and estimated the influential level of each factor. This study utilized a convenience sampling method, surveying 150 lecturers currently working for the university. Labor productivity, the dependent variable, was measured through the number of teaching hours per year of each lecturer. The study results indicated that 7 out of 8 proposed factors influencing the labor productivity, including marital status, academic qualifications, length of service (seniority), science and technology, working conditions, support policies, and leadership style. Based on these findings, several solutions were proposed to enhance the labor productivity of lecturersin the future.
