Factors Affecting the Intention of Students to Borrow Money from Online Peer-to-Peer Lending (P2P) Platforms: A Case Study of Students of the Faculty of Economics, East Asia University of Technology

Abstract
This study explored the factors affecting the intention of students to borrow money from online peer-to-peer lending (P2P) platforms. The study developed a research model consisting of six independent variables and one dependent variable to analyze factors. The study’s data was collected from 163 students of the Faculty of Economics, East Asia University of Technology. The study’s results showed that the factor of outside the platform had a strong and positive impact on students’ intentions to borrow money from online P2P platforms. This study is expected to provide a basis for suggestions for fintech organizations and businesses to develop products that meet the needs of university students as a potential target customer segment.
