Factors impacting the decisions of students to conduct scientific research: A case study of Thuongmai University’s students

Abstract

This study evaluated the main factors impacting the decisions of students to conduct scientific research. This study summarized the theoretical basis and practical research on the decisions of students to do scientific research. The study also conducted specific research on Thuongmai University’s students. The results showed that there are five factors influencing the decisions of students to do scientific research, including: student capacity, motivation, role of lecturers, environmental impact, and benefits from doing scientific research. This study’s results are the basis for evaluating the current situation, and proposing solutions to encourage students to conduct scientific research effectively.
