The role of ESG in enterprise green technology innovation

Abstract
This study examines the influence of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) pillars on corporate green technology innovation. Green innovation plays a critical role in minimizing environmental harm while enhancing economic efficiency, thus contributing to long-term sustainable development strategies. Grounded in ESG theoretical frameworks, the study evaluates the impact of ESG indicators on green technology innovation and considers the moderating role of firm-specific characteristics. The findings reveal that all three ESG dimensions - Environmental (E), Social (S), and Governance (G) - positively influence a company’s adoption and development of green technologies.
