Promoting technology transfer and innovation in university autonomy in Vietnam

This study examines the role of technology transfer in fostering innovation within universities, particularly in the context of increasing educational competition and the growing need for institutional autonomy. Autonomy in governance is identified as a key factor enabling universities to more flexibly adopt and implement new technologies. The study clarifies core concepts, reviews existing technology transfer models, and evaluates the current status and challenges faced by autonomous universities. Based on these insights, the study proposes solutions to enhance the effectiveness of technology transfer, including strengthening partnerships with businesses, investing in technological infrastructure, and developing qualified human resources. The findings highlight that optimizing technology transfer not only improves university governance but also enhances educational quality and supports the sustainable development of higher education.
