Antecedents of job satisfaction and organizational commitment among drilling rig employees in Vietnam's oil and gas industry
Published: July 25, 2026
Abstract
This study examines the factors influencing job satisfaction and organizational commitment among drilling rig employees, aiming to identify key antecedents and provide practical implications for human resource management in the industry. The findings reveal that job stability, training, and promotion opportunities positively impact both job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Additionally, job stress is found to affect only job satisfaction, while compensation influences organizational commitment. Notably, job satisfaction serves as a mediating factor in strengthening organizational commitment. Based on these insights, the study offers recommendations to enhance employee engagement and retention within drilling companies.
