The factors influencing individuals' decisions to seek treatment through traditional medicine in An Giang province

This study investigates the factors influencing individuals' decisions to seek treatment through traditional medicine in An Giang province. Utilizing descriptive statistical analysis and multivariate regression, the study identifies and verifies key determinants affecting the public’s choice of traditional medicine for disease treatment. The findings reveal six significant factors: (i) age of respondents; (ii) perceived effectiveness of traditional medicine treatment; (iii) influence of treatment costs on decision-making; (iv) accessibility of traditional medicine healthcare services; (v) concern about potential side effects of medication; and (vi) perceived safety of traditional medicine practices. These insights contribute to a better understanding of public attitudes toward traditional medicine and provide a foundation for policy recommendations to improve healthcare service delivery in the region.
