A study on analytical framework for psychological and mental health problems of university students
Published: July 25, 2026
Abstract
Recent studies and articles show that a large proportion of students are bored with school. Many students face difficulties in social relationships, communications with classmates and teachers, parents, and identifying future careers. The number of incidents caused by psychological and mental health problems among university students is increasing. Students’ major psychological and mental health problems are depression, anxiety, and psychological disorders from learning pressure. To limit the serious consequences of students’ psychological and mental health problems, it is necessary for universities to take measures to identify the support needs of students during the learning process (18 - 24 years old). Universities should offer solutions to help students overcome psychological and mental health problems. However, there are not many studies about the psychological and mental health difficulties that university students are facing. This study proposed a research model to explore the psychology and mental health of university students.
